Would You be so kind to recommend me some online resources to learn Finnish? I found several books, but they either written by Russians and are not very good, or are in Finnish completely, so are not for a novice.

Maybe you can start from here? https://yle.fi/aihe/artikkeli/2013/11/04/easyfinnish-suomen-kielen-alkeiskurssi-englanniksi

This not an online source, but there is an excellent Russian bookstore in Helsinki. They are able to help with the books: https://ruslania.com/ru/

Nevermind.

If you're a reddit user they have a decent group here:

But it has to be said speaking Finnish is gonna be the best way to get better; I need to speak more Finnish myself, I'm pretty good at understanding but getting the right suffixes in real-time is hard.

I've been using Tobo app to learn german and spanish, recommend it dearly. Alltough dunno if it works so well in learnin finnish, but I'd guess so 'cause its great on german.

Duolingo is for free and has finnish as an option now too :)
otherwise mondly is also a good app, but comes with a price.
then I know about the book series "Hyvin menee!" and "suomen mestari"
first one is praised by my classmates (i'm learning finnish at school) it seems better structured than suomen mestari, easier to follow, but suomen mestari is what is widely used in schools....so not sure which is better, but maybe you can borrow them to look yourself before committing?
